Congratulations, Reds
To the editor:
Congratulations to the Gibbon Reds baseball team! It seems only a short time ago that Tony Stadtherr walked up to me and asked “Claus, do you think we can get a baseball team going in Gibbon?”
I replied “It takes money and warm bodies.” Tony said “I’ve got the warm bodies.”
I told him anybody can be a good winner. It takes intestinal fortitude, otherwise known as guts, to be good losers, and that will be the case for a few years. Good to see Tony and others still there. Good Luck. You have earned it. No matter where you go from here.
