To the editor:

This note is to residents living in Brown and Nicollet County asking you to extend thanks to retiring commissioners Jim Berg and Dick Seeboth in Brown County and to commissioners Bruce Beatty and Dave Haack in Nicollet County.

It has been my good fortune to work with these four gentlemen for several years and I can tell you that each commissioner has brought special gifts to their service to their county and their constituents.

While it is true elected officials don’t always receive the compliments they deserve, I can tell you that Commissioners Beatty, Berg, Haack and Seeboth each deserve your recognition as they leave public office at the end of the year.  They have committed themselves as public servants.

I will miss each of them for their service to county government.
