Words can’t say enough about Lindy Carda. She was a woman with many traits, a wife, mother, sister, aunt, and a friend to many.
Lindy was a beautiful person inside and out. She was a gentle soul who always put everyone else’s needs before her own, never liked to receive. She loved life. Lindy had a magical way of impacting the souls of strangers, friends, and family alike through her endless compassion and selflessness. She showed us how to enjoy so many of the simple things in life and she was deeply loved by everyone that knew her.
Lindy took pride in her faith, cooking/baking, always trying new recipes, the outdoors, her flower gardens, family, and her music. In her lifetime, she volunteered at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity and Brown County Humane Society.
Helen Mary Carda, the daughter of Frank and Lucy (Dummer) Kramer, was born on March 27, 1930 in Bird Island, Minnesota. On January 16, 1965 she was united in marriage to Stanley Carda at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Lindy is the second oldest of 12 children. With being the second oldest of 12, she helped raise the youngest siblings. Lindy is survived by her daughter, Amy Carda and her husband Scott Smith of Redwing.
