MANKATO–Kenneth J. Pfarr, age 85, of Mankato, died on Friday, July 18, 2025 at the Hillcrest Rehabilitation Center in Mankato.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm, with Pastor Nathan Scharf officiating. Burial with full military honors accorded by the New Ulm Area Comrades of Valor Honor Guard will follow in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday. Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes of New Ulm are assisting the family. Kenneth is survived by his sisters, Elaine Hoffrogge, Betty Lindmeyer, and Shirley (Leon) Geiger, all of New Ulm; sister-in-law, Betty Pfarr; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lorraine Olsen; brother, Raymond Pfarr; and brothers-in-law, Frank Lindmeyer, Arnold Olsen, and William Hoffrogge.
Kenneth James Pfarr was born on March 23, 1940 in Waterbury Township, MN to Paul & Sophia (Mammenga) Pfarr. He graduated from New Ulm High School. After graduation, Kenneth worked at Kraft Foods in New Ulm. He then served in the U.S. Army for three years. After his discharge, Kenneth then worked as a Dairy Inspector for the state of Minnesota until his retirement. He enjoyed pheasant hunting and traveling.
