Nancy Hacker

Nancy Hacker, age 73 of New Ulm passed away Monday, November 29, 2021 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital with her family by her side.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH chapel in New Ulm and will continue Saturday from 9-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Nancy is survived by her children, Lori (Simon) Pearson of England, Amy (Kevin) Povick of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Richard Hacker of Brownton, Marcy (Mike) Enger of New Ulm, Corey Hacker of New Ulm, Bill (Amanda) Hacker of Lafayette, Holly Hacker of Lafayette, and Eric (Lisa) Hacker of New Ulm; her grandchildren, Dustin and Zachary Hagberg, Ashley Henderson, Alek Povick, Lane, Katy and Kayla Hacker, Jeremy, Almakay and Lily Enger, Finley Hacker, Brody, Riley, Alyvia and Faith Hacker, Alexis and Sylas Hacker, and Bristol and Brooklyn Hacker; her siblings, Delores Kokesch, Eileen (Bob) Hansen, Gene (Marjorie) Bieraugel, and Greg (Joleen) Bieraugel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Marcella (Lindquist) Bieraugel; her husband, Clarence; her brother-in-law, Johnny Kokesch; mother and father-in law, Fred and Alma Hacker; her grandchildren, Morgan Povick and Ethan Hacker.

Nancy Marie (Bieraugel) Hacker was born on October, 20, 1948 to Edwin and Marcella Bieraugel of Lafayette. She graduated from Holy Trinity Cathedral in 1966. Nancy met Clarence Hacker on October 23rd, 1966. It was the best night of her life. Nancy married the love of her life, Clarence on May 27, 1967 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. She moved on the farm with Clarence, where they raised their eight children together. Nancy’s greatest love was being a farm wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, canning, making blankets, and was amazing in the kitchen, both cooking and baking. Nancy also worked at the Klossner House for 40 plus years, where she was well known and loved by many for her homestyle cooking. Over the years, Nancy shared her time and talents with the church as well as anyone who needed a helping hand. Nancy enjoyed attending her children’s and grandchildren’s events, school and extra-curricular activities.

Nancy cherished her family and grandchildren and will be dearly missed and forever loved.
