Bernard Leonard Baune was born January 28, 1941, in Wabasso to Clarence and Marie (Pelzel) Baune. Bernard was united in marriage to Kathleen on August 8, 1964 at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. This union blessed the couple with a daughter and a son. Bernard worked for Supersweet for over 25 years and ended his career with Schell’s Brewery. Bernard was a farmer at heart and still enjoyed it until recently. He was always a hard worker and did whatever he could to make sure his family was well taken care of. He found a lot of things in life that brought him happiness, including woodworking, indulging in his sweet tooth, gardening, afternoon drives, but especially spending time with his highly adored children and grandchildren. Bernard will be remembered for his selfless nature and his willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need. He will be forever missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. Blessed be his memory.
