Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 26, 2021, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home-North Chapel in New Ulm. Burial will follow in the Winthrop Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, and continue from 9-10 a.m. on Friday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home- North Chapel in New Ulm.

The funeral service will be live-streamed through the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home’s Facebook page starting at 10 a.m. on Friday.

Lois is survived by her husband of 64 years, Marlyn Joseph Messner; daughter, Nancy Williams of Preston,son Kendal Messner of Gaylord, daughter Kelly Schmidt of West Bend, Iowa, son, Trent Messner of Henderson; 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Joyce Messner, Donna Kasten, Carol Doering and brother Ron Boelter.

Lois Jean Messner was born Sept. 6, 1938, to Herbert and Della (Kirchoff) Boelter in Sibley County.
