NEW ULM — Dennis W. Harder, age 80, of New Ulm, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.

Public Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 6, at Christ the King in New Ulm. Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Wanda, Minnesota.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Eva; sons, Scott of Farmington and Troy (Jenny) of Klossner; grandson, Alec of New Ulm; step-grandchildren, Elizabeth of New Ulm and Tristan of Klossner; and a sister, Carol of New Ulm.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Myril and Roger; his parents; and his in-laws.

Dennis Wilbert Harder was born on April 3, 1940 to Wilbert and Caroline (Seifert) Harder. He was baptized and confirmed in his faith. Dennis married Eva Bloedow on April 28, 1962 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Lamberton. They were blessed with two sons.

Denny spent most of his life as a semi driver delivering freight in the area. He liked playing and managing softball for many years. Denny also enjoyed bowling for over 50 years. He especially liked fishing, going to Round Bay Resort for vacations, and in his later years, going on golf and fishing outings with his sons and their friends. Give him a TV and he was always watching sports of some kind.
