Clara (Zackrison) Jungers

Clara (Zackrison) Jungers, age 95, of Gibbon passed away peacefully on Jan. 13, 2021. Clara was born on Feb. 21, 1925 in Hector. She was the daughter of Martha (Radtke) and Arthur Zackrison. Clara was baptized at home on March 15, 1925 by Pastor Krull and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth by Pastor Heidtke at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hector.

Clara attended and graduated from Hector Public School and furthered her education at Minnesota Business College where she graduated in 1944. She was united in marriage to Earl Jungers on May 25, 1946. Clara was a homemaker and when her children were older, she was employed as a secretary at Gibbon Public School for 20 years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon.

In her younger years, she enjoyed volunteering, coffee with friends, embroidery, and fishing with her grandchildren. She enjoyed visiting her sons: Dave and his little pug dog Kobe in Shakopee, Steven in Colorado, and Michael in Arizona. Above all she loved her family and her faith.

Clara is survived by her sons Steven Jungers of Frederick, CO, Dave Jungers of Shakopee, and Michael Jungers of Youngtown, AZ; son-in law Ron Kruggel of Winthrop, granddaughter Heather (Randy) Thompson of Kellogg, and great-grandson Darren Clayton of Council Bluffs, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Martha Zackrison, husband Earl Jungers, daughter Susan Kruggel, grandson Matthew Kruggel, and granddaughter Melissa Kruggel in infancy, and her brothers Kenneth Zackrison and Donald Zackrison.

Due to Covid, there will be a Celebration of Life for immediate family at a later date. Online condolences can be sent to www.mvfh.org. Clara had a heart of gold and this world will not be the same without her in it.
