Service will be held at the St. Raphael Catholic Church, Springfield, on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 1:00 pm with visitation one hour before the funeral at the church. COVID-19 guidelines will be followed, including the use of masks and social distancing.

Interment will be at the St. Raphael Catholic Cemetery in Springfield.

Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield.

Ralph “Hacky” Petersen was born on the family farm in rural Springfield to Raymond E. and Grace Petersen on September 10, 1933.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Edna Petersen; children, Dan Petersen, Tim Petersen, Mary Root; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and sister, MaryLou Carlson.
