Sheryll F. Classen
NEW ULM — Sheryll F. Classen, age 65, of New Ulm, died Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
A private family funeral will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in New Ulm, with Pastor Kathleen Ulland-Klinkner officiating.
Due to current social constraints, and seating limitations, a public visitation will be held from 9to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.

Sheryll is survived by her husband, Glenn; daughters, Stacey (Keith) Robish and Lindsay Schnobrich; son, Matt (Lexie) Classen; five grandchildren, Cheyenne, Laney and Gage Classen, and Aiden and Rylin Robish; brothers, Doug (Doris) and Dave (Jody) Schmiesing; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Wayne Schmiesing.
Sheryll Faye Schmeising was born on Jan. 17, 1955 in Madelia to Harvey and Ruby (Nelson) Schmiesing. She graduated from New Ulm High School in 1973. Sheryll was united in marriage to Glenn Classen on May 16, 2008 in New Ulm. She was employed as a machine operator at 3M for 36-1/2 years until her retirement. Sheryll enjoyed crafting, flowers, gardening, shopping, traveling, antiques, and spending time with her many friends and her beloved grandchildren. She will be missed by all those who knew her. Blessed be her memory.
