Naomi S. Peterson

NEW ULM — Naomi S. Peterson, age 45, of New Ulm, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2020 as the result of an automobile accident.

Memorial visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – SOUTH Chapel in New Ulm.

Naomi is survived by her son, Brock Peterson; mother, Suzanne (Ron) Totman; siblings, Tony (Tina) Ahlbrecht, Malissa (Aaron Beck) Ahlbrecht, Ryan (Rebecca Flynn) Totman, and Isiah Thies; her best friend and father of Brock, Paul Peterson; her other mother, Dawn Huck; a grandmother, Dona Totman; beloved cat, Gilbert; birth father, Mexxy; the Peterson Family; another father figure, Chris Erickson; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who felt like family.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rudy and Ruthie Gorr, Marvin and Mutz Ahlbrecht, and Glenn Totman.

Naomi Sue Ahlbrecht was born on May 26, 1974 in New Ulm. She graduated from New Ulm High School in 1993. Naomi started her career at P.G.I. Mailers in New Ulm. For the past 15 years, she was employed at Allina Health in New Ulm. Naomi enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings, baking, fishing, crocheting, sitting by the campfire with family and friends, and loved hanging out at Tanglewood, OR. She joyfully participated in the annual Day of Caring, the Polar Plunge, volunteered at numerous community events, and always loved a good manicure. Naomi had a genuine heart that touched many people with laughter and love. She will be missed by all those who knew her. Blessed be her memory.
