Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax with interment in the church cemetery.

Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the church. Military Honors by the Fairfax Honor Guard.

Eugene Thomas Schroeder was born on Oct. 17, 1941, in Sleepy Eye to Arthur and Sadie (Heinrich) Schroeder.

On Jan. 6, 1960, Gene entered active military service and served in the United States Army. He received the Good Conduct Medal. Gene was Honorably Discharged on Dec. 20, 1962.

Gene is survived by his wife, Kathleen Schroeder of Fairfax; children, Steven Schroeder of Fairfax, and Susan Iverson of Anoka; five grandchildren; and brother, Kenneth “Peanuts” Schroeder of Iowa.
