Ronald “Ron” Herbert Dalueg was born February 13, 1944 to Herbert and Orinda (Schultz) Dalueg in New Ulm. He attended St. Paul’s Grade School and graduated from New Ulm Public High School. After graduation, Ron began driving truck for Star Bulk. During that time, his friend Duane, asked him to go on a double date with him and Mary Vait. Ron and Mary began dating shortly after and were united in marriage for over 50 years. Ron continued his career of trucking. After starting at Star Bulk, he worked at Shelter Products and D&A Trucking where he retired. Ron then began working part time for Bob Schroepfer and Gary Ashenbrenner Trucking.

Ron had a passion for socializing with people. It was rare that he could walk down the street and not strike up a conversation with an old friend or coworker. He loved playing softball, hunting, polka, and going to church every Sunday. Ron especially loved watching all his grandchildren’s sporting events with Mary.

Although his passing was sudden, his cheerful personality and signature Dalueg laugh will never be forgotten. Blessed be his memory.
