A celebration of Life service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, South Chapel in New Ulm.

Visitation will be 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Marian is survived by her children, Mike, Jim, Craig, Mary, Julie, Cindy, Perry, Michelle, and David and their spouses, 20 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Galvin, and her son, Stephen Galvin.

Marian was born on June 22, 1933, in St. Paul and graduated high school from St. Joseph’s Academy in 1951. On October 20, 1954 she married Perry D. Galvin in St. Paul, Minnesota. After spending One year in Redwood Falls, Minnesota they moved to New Ulm to raise their large family. Marian was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. At the age of 52, Marian attended Mankato State University and earned her fine arts bachelor degree. In 2001, Marian and Perry moved to Green Valley, Arizona where they spent 14 years enjoying their retirement years.

Marian was a devoted wife and mother. She will be remembered for loving children and her advocacy for others in need. Marian’s perseverance through challenging times and her unwavering Faith in Jesus will be her legacy. Blessed be her memory.
