Marcella “Marcy” Kramer

GIBBON — Marcella “Marcy” Kramer, age 81, passed away on November 12th, 2019, at 7:55 pm at her home in rural Gibbon.

Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon with Pastor Steven Bauer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. at the church in Gibbon prior to the funeral service.

Marcy is survived by her husband, Thomas; their children, Alicia (Bill) Barke, Garth (Katie) Kramer, Marni (Mike) Daugaard; grandchildren, Jack and Nick Barke, Kendra and Jacob Kramer, and Chloe and David Daugaard; brothers-in-law, Don Kramer, Robin (Carol) Kramer, Darcy (Jeanne) Kramer, Glen (Mindy) Kramer and Lyle Munsterman; and sister-in-law Cassie (Dennis) Eikenberry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William J. and Alma Schultze; sisters; Marie Bremer, Zelda Munsterman; brother-in-law, Carl Bremer; sisters-in-law, Sandy Kramer and Joyce Kramer; niece, Debra Bremer; and nephew, David Munsterman.

Marcella “Marcy” Anna Clara Schultze was born May 25,1938, to William J. and Alma (Ehlert) Schultze in Tenhassen Township-Martin County, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert. She graduated from Ceylon High School and later attained her teaching degree from Concordia College in St. Paul, MN. She taught parochial school in Lester Prairie and St. Peter’s Lutheran School in Moltke Township, rural Gibbon. On November 12, 1961, she married Thomas Kramer at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert. They made their home on the farm in Moltke Township.

After her children were all in school, she worked part-time, doing office work at several businesses in Gibbon and Fairfax.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon.
