Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH Chapel, and will continue from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Funeral Home.

Mark is survived by his children, Adam (Melanie) Aschenbrenner, Myron Aschenbrenner and Cathy Aschenbrenner; three grandchildren; sisters, Beverly Berg, Mary (Charlie) Pladsen; brother, Gary (Marie Thiede) Aschenbrenner; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, LuAnn, and his parents.

Mark Alfred Aschenbrenner was born on June 20, 1956 in New Ulm to Floyd & Dolores (Haas) Aschenbrenner. He graduated from New Ulm High School in 1975. Mark married LuAnn Clara Hauser on October 13, 1984 at St. Mary’s Church in Sleepy Eye. Mark made his career driving truck for Kraft. After 33 years of driving, he retired. In his free time, Mark enjoyed deer hunting, camping, gardening, tractor restorations, and tinkering in his shop. He was a member of the NRA. Mark especially enjoyed all the time he was able to spend with his children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
