Glenn D. Stark

Glenn D. Stark, age 66, passed away Oct. 15, 2019 at the Waterview Shores Nursing Home in Two Harbors, Mn. after a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer.

Glenn Dean Stark was born to Gloria (Maha) and Victor Stark on Dec. 9,1952 in Comfrey, Mn. He attended school at Comfrey, St Paul’s Lutheran School in New Ulm and graduated from New Ulm Public in 1970. On Jan. 23,1971; Glenn married Penny Sveine at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in New Ulm and this marriage was blessed with two sons. Shortly after marriage, they moved to Two Harbors, Mn. He began working at Barko Hydraulics in Superior, WI. on July 15,1974 and commuted everyday. Glenn was still employed with Barko and achieved a 45-year career there. He enjoyed exploring the backwoods and mining roads of Northern Minnesota and friended those in need. His greatest joy was knowing his Savior and sharing that knowledge with treasured family and friends.

Glenn is survived by his sons, Yancy Stark; Shane and grandson Wyatt Stark, all of Two Harbors, Mn. His mother, Gloria Jungkans of New Ulm; sisters, Wendy (Lonny) Robbin, New London; Doreen (Lee) Bowman Darfur; Marlys (Brad) Ranweiler, New Ulm; Arlette (Orv) Johnson, Courtland; brothers, Bob (Donna) Stark and Larry (LeAnn) Stark all of New Ulm; former wife Penny Sveine, Duluth; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father in 1964, a brother in infancy, grandparents, Alfred and Lillie Stark; and Alice and George Maha. The family would like to say a special thank you to Kate, Gene and Donna for all t heir love and comfort they gave Glenn. A private family burial will take place in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, New Ulm. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Blessed be his memory.
