Visitation will be on Saturday, August 24, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the New Hope Lutheran Church in Comfrey.

Service will be held at the New Hope Lutheran Church in Comfrey on at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Springfield, following a luncheon at the church.

LeRoy Duane was born on May 1, 1931 in Mt. Lake, to Tena (Schafer) and Theodore Walters. He served in the Army from May 8, 1952, to June 24, 1953.

Swede is survived by children Kim Anderson of Ortonville; Kathy Hillesheim of Sanborn; Daniel Walters of Granite Falls; Dana Walters of Coon Rapids; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; brothers; Eugene Walters of Mapleton; Bill Walters of Fort Worth, Texas.
