Dale J. Krzmarzick

Dale J. Krzmarzick, age 81, of Sleepy Eye died on July 20, 2019, at Prairie Senior Cottages in New Ulm.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, and will continue on Thursday from 7:30 until 10 am at the Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye.

Memorial Service will be held at at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 25, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye. The clergy will be Msgr. John Richter. Interment will be at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Sleepy Eye. Military Honors provided by the Sleepy Eye Honor Guard. Reception to follow at the St. Mary’s Church Social Room.

Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye.

Dale J. Krzmarzick was born on March 9, 1938 in Sleepy Eye, the son of Sylvester and Alyce (Soukup) Krzmarzick. He grew up and graduated from high school in Sleepy Eye. Dale married Dorothy Billmeier on April 28, 1962 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. He worked at Anderson Processing for 30 years. Dale lived and farmed in Sleepy Eye his entire life. He coached baseball and enjoyed watching his sons play baseball. He also enjoyed snowmobling with family and friends and later in life enjoyed going to Arizona for Spring Training. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and served in the Army Reserves.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Sleepy Eye; children, Jay (Vawn) of Howard Lake, Kip (Kelly) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jody (Scott) Moses of Gilbert, AZ, Kyle (Summer) of Brooklyn Park, Kelly of Brandon, SD; 16 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, brothers, Marvin (Alice) of Burnsville, Randy (Pam) of Sleepy Eye, sister, JoAnn (Tom) Seifert of Sleepy Eye and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Dean and Joel.
