Doris Ann (Frericks) Meyer was born February 16, 1934 to Frank and Bernadette Ferick s in Ramsen, Iowa.

As a young woman, Doris moved “to the big city” of New Ulm to find a good paying job. She began working for the telephone company as an operator. This beautiful operator caught the eye of a local meat market employee& after a short courtship, they were married on June 20, 1956. Just over a year later, they welcomed their first child; a son. They would be blessed with two more sons and a daughter.

In her free time, Doris enjoyed playing cards, gardening, and being a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She also enjoyed bowling in her younger years, fishing, camping, and volunteering at St. Mary’s. Doris loved cooking for her family, a favorite dish being her homemade chicken noodle soup.

Above all, Doris treasured all the time she was able to spend with her friends and family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Blessed be her memory.
