Wayne Huiras was born on August 18, 1954 in Sleepy Eye, to Edwin Jr. and Doris (Schroepfer) Huiras.

He is survived by wife, Julie Huiras, son, Michael (Katie) Huiras and grandchildren, Madeline and Calvin.
