Brian Michael Brueske

Bradenton, Fla. — Brian Michael Brueske, age 61, of Bradenton, FL, unexpectedly passed away on March 22nd, 2019 in Lake City Florida. Formerly of New Ulm, Fairmont and Elk River, MN.

Brian is survived by his daughter, Michelle Brueske (Jamie Depyper) and his sons Jason Brueske (Daniel Mueller) and Travis Brueske (Sarah Brueske). He is also survived by Patty (Seifert) Brueske (mother of children & former wife), 7 grandchildren (Colton, Dawson, Peyton, Ethan, Savannah, Jace and Brooke), his siblings, Sheila (Dick) Sundstrom, Steve (Wendy) Brueske, Barry (Linda) Brueske, former in-laws, Marv and Janice Seifert, Sue (Arly) Boddy, Kim (Tracy) Samuelson and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Gloria Brueske and his cousin and best friend, Timmy Veigel.

Brian was born on June 6th, 1957 in Dallas, TX and after his birth moved back to New Ulm to be close to family where he grew up and attended New Ulm Public High School.

After high school, he began his life long career as a salesman. Through the years, he owned several businesses of his own and also worked for Kirby, Lindsay (EcoWater), Rain Soft and Norac. At the time of his death, he was an account manager for Topcon, Inc.

Brian loved his children and always said how proud he was of them. He loved seeing his grandchildren and spending time with his family. Brian loved to cook, travel, watch old movies and play various games like Canasta, Rail Baron and Sheepshead with family. He loved the holidays as it was time for “family, food and fun”.

His loud laugh, sense of humor and his funny made up songs will be missed dearly by all who loved and knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 18th, 2019 at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, South Chapel in New Ulm. Gathering of friends and family will begin at 10:30am with a service at 12:30pm.
