GAYLORD — Raymond Kuphal, 91, of Gaylord, died on Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Oak Terrace Health Care Center in Gaylord.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord, with interment in the church cemetery. Military Honors by the Manthey-Asmus American Legion Post 433.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, April 12, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Arrangements are with the Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord.
Raymond Herman Kuphal was born on November 20, 1927, in Gaylord, to Fred and Olga (Wille) Kuphal.
Ray entered active military service in the United States Navy during World War II. He received the World War II Victory medal. Ray was Honorably Discharged on December 24, 1947.
Ray is survived by his children, Wayne Kuphal of Wakefield, R.I., Gail Guggisberg of rural Lafayette, Mark Kuphal of Gaylord, Glenn Kuphal of Mankato, and Judy Nelson of Batavia, Ill.; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert Kuphal.
