NEW ULM — Julie Van Name, 61, of New Ulm died Friday, March 15, 2019 at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 25, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Father Gerald Meidl celebrating the Mass.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Monday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm.

The Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm is handling the arrangements.

Julie is survived by her son Kyle Van Name of New Ulm; sisters, Paula (Mike) Gaffaney of Big Lake, Margaret “Peggy” Larson of Prescott Valley, Arizona, Teresa Rousseau of Maple Grove; brothers, Robert “Bob” (Lynette) Rousseau of International Falls and Ernest (Shari) Rousseau Farmington; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Rousseau of International Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother David Rousseau; and a nephew, Paul Gaffaney.

Julie Marie Rousseau was born Oct. 15, 1957 in International Falls to Ernest and Jeanne (Bennington) Rousseau. She was a graduate of Glenwood High School. Julie was employed at Mayo Health Systems in Mankato and the New Ulm Senior Center. She enjoyed being at the lake, NASCAR and spending time at Big Sandy Camp CYC.

Julie was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity and Bridge of Caring.
