Visitation will be on Monday, January 14, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.

Service will be held at the St. John Lutheran Home at 11 a.m. on Monday.

Interment will be at the Springfield City Cemetery.

Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield.

Angaila (Gail) Ilene (Todnem) Essig was born August 9, 1919, to I.A. Todnem and Anna Caroline Christenson in Underwood Township in Milroy in Redwood County.

Gail is survived by her children Merlin Essig of Rochester, Rodney Essig of Nashville, TN, and Barbara Bushard of Longmont, CO: 5 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
