A Celebration of Margaret’s Life will be held from 1-4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 12, 2018 at Lake Crystal Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Mayo Hospice – Mankato.

Margaret Louise Waybright was born April 13, 1929 to John and Hazel (Alyea) Waybright in Wessington Springs, SD. She graduated from Wessington Springs High School in 1946 and then attended and graduated from South Dakota State University, Brookings with a degree in education. She was united in marriage to Keith D. Blasing on June 11, 1954 at Zion Lutheran Church. Margaret taught home economics at Lake Crystal High School for 29 years. After retirement, Margaret moved to New Ulm where she worked with antiques and collectibles.

Margaret was a kind and loving person. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, New Ulm. She was an advisor of FHA for many years. She loved quilting, sewing, and playing cards.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Karla Gustavson; granddaughter, Heidi Davis, two sisters-in-law, Ann Blasing and Mariann Nicholas; and extended family.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Keith on April 11, 2011, and two brothers, Jim and John.
