Joel Patrick Trebesch

Kandiyohi — Joel Patrick Trebesch, age 50 of Kandiyohi, died unexpectedly as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Friday, October 19, 2018. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 27 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, October 26 at the Kolden Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to service time on Saturday. Interment will be in the Arlington Public Cemetery.

Joel was born on January 20, 1968 in Sanborn, MN to Delmar and Bonnie (Kopischke) Trebesch. He graduated from Arlington Green Isle High School in 1986. He began working at Bongards Creamery, which lead him to a career in welding. Welding allowed him to travel all over for 30 plus years. He worked for various employers such as: Niro-Sterner, Inc., Millerbernd Manufacturing Co., and Northland Process Piping. Joel had received many certificates in various welding projects. He received his boilers license, and his HVAC license in Kansas City. He also worked for Jennie-O Foods in Willmar, MN.

Joel was a kind, loving man, and had a gentle soul. He was a hard worker and always wore a smile on his face. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Joel enjoyed all different kinds of motor sports including demolition derbies, truck pulling, and mini hot rods.

He is survived by his siblings, Michael (Deb) Trebesch of Winthrop, Steve (Tammy) Trebesch of Hamburg, Jim Trebesch of Gaylord, Bill (Janell) Trebesch of Granada, Joy (Bob) Schwanke of Glencoe, Jill (Curt) Vorlicek of Cold Spring, John (Monica) Trebesch of Hamburg, Kipp (Debbie) Trebesch of Green Isle, Precious (fiancé, George) Stier of Hutchinson, and Mark (fiancée, Jen) Trebesch of Henderson; 17 nieces and nephews; and 16 great-nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Trebesch; and great-nephew, Collin Trebesch.
