Brian Joseph Paulson was born on June 14, 1979 in Sleepy Eye, MN to Bob & Judy (Klein) Paulson. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1997. After graduation he worked at many jobs until he found his niche, cooking! Brian’s pride and joy and greatest accomplishment in life were his children, Abigail and Estin, he would do anything for them. When Abigail was little he loved to take her to Menards, one of the first songs she learned and loved was the “Menards song.” He also volunteered at Abigail’s school serving lunch. Estin is truly like his dad with his quick wit, friendly love and unselfish attitude. Brian was an absolutely amazing dad. Brian felt most at home in the kitchen and around his grill, throughout his life he was a chef in various restaurants until his health deteriorated. Brian was also a “fix it” man like his dad always tinkering with something. No matter how you met Brian if you knew him he was a true friend for life, he truly cared for other people. Brian would want everyone to live life to the fullest, love your children, family and friends and make a toast to enduring friendships lifelong and beyond. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Brian is lovingly survived by his daughter, Abigail (12) and son, Estin (7), parents, Bob & Judy, fiance, Becki Heider, sisters, Susan (Steve) Rutscher and Nicole Paulson, nieces and nephews, Emily, Bailey, Zachary, Katelyn and Riley Rutscher and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by son, Cody Joseph in 2005 which was one of the most difficult times in his life, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.

Memorial will be used for Brian’s children’s education fund.
