Electa Amanda Griebel was born July 24, 1930 to Louis and Mary Glaser. She was a 1949 graduate of Holy Trinity high school New Ulm. After graduation she worked at the Brown County Recorder’s office.

On Wednesday November 7, 1951, she married her one true love at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. Together they enjoyed many travels with their good friends Marlys and Vernon Kitzberger. She also enjoyed square dancing, garage sales, Wii bowling and playing cards with family and friends or anyone who had the time. She was always ready to watch her sons Ken singing or Rich playing in the band. Mom went to watch every dance recital, ballgame or horse show or any other activity her grandchildren or great grandchildren were involved in.

Electa was a devout member of St. John’s Catholic Church of Searles, member of St. John’s Catholic United Society, Christian Mother’s Society, Farm City Hub Club, past member of the Twist and Twirl Square Dance Club. She enjoyed life to its fullest and always reminded us to be thankful for all the blessings we were given. Mom had a positive attitude about everything, a strong faith, a beautiful smile and we will always remember her laughter. We were blessed to call her Mother and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Searles or the donor’s choice.
