Henry Frank Liesenfeld was born June 17, 1935 to Henry & Clara (Zeig) Liesenfeld Jr. in Sigel Township. On July 3, 1956, Henry married the love of his life, Lydia Tauer, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. The couple was blessed with 6 children, whom they raised together. Henry worked primarily as a farmer. He also owned his own custom lumber sawing business and worked part-time hauling milk. In 1998, Henry retired at his farm until he and Lydia moved to New Ulm in January of 2018. When Henry was not working, he enjoyed 4-wheeling, polka music, helping other farmers, maintaining his John Deere tractors, spending time with family and friends, and teaching his grandkids how to speak German. Henry truly treasured all the time he was able to spend with his beloved friends and family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, blessed be his memory.
