Douglas John Hillesheim, 56, passed away on Friday, 15 June 2018, at his home in San Antonio, Texas. He was born to Albert and Madonna (Nachreiner) Hillesheim of Clements, Minnesota, where he grew up. He spent much of his adult life working in Operations for gold mining corporations in Nevada.

He is survived by his husband, Jeffrey Marsden of San Antonio; daughters Shelly Hillesheim, Erin Gallegos, Julie (Patrick) Mickas, and step-son Joseph (Cassondra) Shake of Battle Mountain, Nevada; his mother, Madonna Hillesheim; siblings, Lynn (Rita) Hillesheim, Mary (Tommy) Keith, Loren (Cindy) Hillesheim, Larry Hillesheim, Lonnie (Mich-elle) Hillesheim, Dan (Cindy) Hillesheim, Cathy (Steve) Berberich; brother-in-law Larry Shermak; sister-in-law, Carolyn Hillesheim; 5 grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Albert Hillesheim; brother, Lee Hillesheim; sister, Judith Shermak; sister, Virginia Hillesheim; and infant brother, Jon Hillesheim.

A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, 23 June at the SA Country, located at 10127 Coachlight St, in San Antonio, from 2 until 4 p.m.. A second private service will be held in Minnesota in early July.
