Service will be held at the Albion Lutheran Church, St. James, at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27. Interment will be at the Albion Lutheran Cemetery in rural St. James. Military rites by the St. James Veteran Honor Guard.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, Dec. 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home, St. James Chapel and will continue on Wednesday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church.

Ardelton Hanley “Ardie” Olson was born in Albin Township on Dec. 16, 1926 to Hilmer and Gusta (Knudson) Olson.

He served on the USS Anzio during World War II.

Ardie is survived by his wife Rhoda Olson; daughter Jeanie Munsterman; two grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.
