Don was born January 5, 1936, in New Ulm, the son of Axel and Lillian (Fast) Miller. On Sept. 25, 1955, Don married his high school sweetheart Ethel Ellanson. They had four children, Kevin (Nancy) Miller of Redwood Falls, Sheryl (Noel) Kempfert of Prior Lake, Kari (Wayne) Nolden of Neenah, WI, and Mark (Monica) Miller of Farmington.

Don loved to travel with Ethel and spend time with 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and an occasional round of golf.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Axel and Lillian; two brothers, Allan and Jerry; and a sister, Margie.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Ecumen Centennial House in Apple Valley for their support in his final days.

Visitation Tuesday, Dec. 19 from 1-1:45 p.m., followed by funeral service at 2 p.m., all at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 13901 Fairview Dr., Burnsville. Interment in Zion Cemetery, Hanska. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to donor’s choice.
