NICOLLET — Patrick John Anton, age 75, of Nicollet passed away Friday, Nov. 24, 2017 at the Oaklawn Nursing Home in Mankato after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Nicollet with Father Todd Petersen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the Nicollet Honor Guard.

Visitation will start at 4 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service on Monday 27, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Nicollet and will continue from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Patrick is survived by his daughters, Ginger (Paul) Weber of Mankato, Jill (Tim) Novy of Wonewoc, WI.; son, Jon (Deb) Anton of Hanska; 15 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Kathy Anton and Mary Swenson; his brothers, Edward Anton, Richard (Ann) Anton, Joe Anton, Dave (JoAnn) Anton and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Mavis and Nancy; his brothers, Jim Anton, Jerry and Roger Spiess and his granddaughter Brittany Anton.

Patrick John Anton was born March 5, 1942 in Nicollet to Edward and Dorothy (Meurer) Anton. He attended school in Nicollet. Pat was a very proud Vietnam War Veteran. He loved antique tractor pulling and tinkering with his tractors. He enjoyed spending time in the woods and going to auctions. Above all else he loved to spend time with his family.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and a proud active member of the American Legion Post #510.
