Harold Frank Luepke was born October 24, 1929 on the Luepke Family Century Farm in Brighton Township to Frank and Selma (Rodewald) Luepke. He attended school at District #59 in Brighton Township. He married Muriel Mae Marie Koch on April 25, 1950 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm. They enjoyed over 40 years of marriage together. After Muriel’s passing on January 11, 1991, he met Joyce (Beltz) Johnson and the couple married on November 23, 1996 at the Linden Lutheran Church. Joyce passed away in 2015.

Harold farmed the Luepke Family Century Farm in Brighton Township for over 50 years. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church for over 68 years. He was an usher for many years. He was an avid bowler and bowled for 49 years on the Klossner Bowling League. He was also a member of the Nicollet Conservation Club. Harold enjoyed deer hunting and fishing with his buddies. He enjoyed being a dairy farmer but most of all he loved his family. His family has many memories of their times spent together, especially around the kitchen table. Harold and Muriel traveled to many destinations and enjoyed their time together. He was a loving caregiver when Muriel needed him most. He and Joyce enjoyed their time and travels together and when Joyce’s health was failing, he also provided care for her. In the last two years especially, he showed his “wild” side by hot air ballooning with his grandson, Wes and skydiving with his granddaughter, Lauri. He also enjoyed his Alaskan cruise in June with family. Whenever Harold was asked if he still lived on the farm he always answered proudly, “Yes, I was born in that house and I plan on dying in that house.” His family is happy he got his wish. Blessed be his memory.
