Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, 11 a.m.. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Winthrop. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 12, from 5 to 8 p.m.. at the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop. Parish Prayers will be 5 p.m. Thursday. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Helen Elizabeth (Sexton) Hinton was born on Dec. 12, 1926, in Elysian to William and Anna (Wesley) Sexton.

Helen is survived by her children, Roberta “Bobbie” Hinton of Fairfax, Paula Hinton of Franklin, Susan Carmicle of North Branch, Jeffrey Hinton of Winthrop, and Theresa Kohn of St. Paul; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Catherine “Katie” Deverell of California.
