ST. GEORGE — Eleanora Biebl, 91, of St. George, died Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 at St. George Catholic Church in St. George with Monsignor John A. Richter celebrating the Mass. Burial will be at a later date in the St. George Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, NORTH CHAPEL, in New Ulm and there will be no visitation at the church prior to the Mass. To leave an online condolence or to sign the guestbook for her family go to: www.mvfh.org.

Eleanora is survived by her daughters, Cathy Youngman of Plymouth, Sharon (Bill) Murray of Isanti, Mary (Neil) Hendrickson of St. Paul, Annie Biebl of Minneapolis, Rosanne (Todd) Sanden of Eyota; sons, Don (Mary) Biebl of New Brighton, Steve Biebl of St. George, Robert (Cindy) Biebl of Shakopee; fifteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Julia Zitzmann of New Ulm; sister-in-law, Mary Ziegler of Fairfax; many nieces; and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herb; son, Richard; sisters, Francis, Gertrude, Theresa; and brother, Frank.

Eleanora Mildred Ziegler was born on Oct. 28, 1925 in Fairfax to Frank and Barbara (Boehm) Ziegler. On May 22, 1951 she was united in marriage to Herbert LeRoy Biebl at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Fairfax. They raised eight children on their 350 acre farm near St. George. In her earlier years she was an operator for the New Ulm Telephone Company. Eleanora baked homemade doughnuts and angel food cakes for everyone in the community. She was known for her generosity to others and her dedication to St. George church and Grotto. Eleanora was a member of St. George Catholic Church, CCW at church, and sang in the church choir.
