SPICER — Marcia K. Bonham, 63, of Spicer, died Thursday, June 29, 2017, at her home in Spicer after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Monday at Peace Lutheran Church in New London. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday at Johnson Funeral Home in New London and continue one hour prior to her service on Monday. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home in New London. Marcia Korth Bonham was born on Feb. 11, 1954, in New Ulm to Dr. C. Howard and Lois (Backer) Korth. She was baptized in 1954 and confirmed in 1969 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in New Ulm. Marcia grew up and attended elementary in New Ulm and graduated from New Ulm High School in 1972. She furthered her education at the University of Minnesota where she graduated in 1976. Marcia continued to live in Minneapolis until 1983, when she moved to New London. On April 14, 1984, Marcia married Judson Bonham in Willmar. To this union two daughters were born. They made their home in New London and Kimball before they divorced. Marcia then lived and worked in St. Cloud, Duluth, and Jacksonville, FL., before returning to Spicer. Marcia worked in retail for over 40 years and most recently with Christopher & Banks. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family especially her two granddaughters. She also enjoyed sewing, antiquing and learning different architectural history.

Marcia is survived by her two daughters: Alexandra “Ali” Bonham of Monticello and Suzannah “Suzi” (Wayne Zoller) Bonham of South Haven; granddaughters: Aubrey (9) and Elsie (8 mo). She is also survived by her siblings: Calvin Korth of Minneapolis and Patsy Korth Cordes of Spicer; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and her dog, Tulip.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
