Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 30, at St. Willibrord’s Catholic Church in Gibbon. Burial will follow in the St. Willibrord’s Catholic Cemetery in Gibbon.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, and continue from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Friday at St. Willibrord’s Catholic Church in Gibbon. A prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday at the church prior to the visitation. Arrangements are being made with the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home of Gibbon.

Benny is survived by his wife, Noreen Beranek of Gibbon; daughter, Patty Buerkle of rural Gibbon; sons, Charles Beranek of Farmington, Brian Beranek of New Ulm; eight grandchildren; sisters, Esther Schwab of New Ulm, Virginia Herring of Lafayette, Grace Rubischko of Gibbon, Chubby Carlson of New Ulm; brothers, Wallace Beranek of Gibbon, and Gerald Beranek of New Ulm

Benedict “Benny” George Beranek Jr. was born August 23, 1944, in New Ulm to Benedict L. Sr. and Valeria (Brey) Beranek.
