Ralph C. Reinhart

BROOKLYN PARK — Ralph C. Reinhart, age 92, of Brooklyn Park, formerly of New Ulm, died Saturday, March 25, 2017 at his home with his daughter by his side.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm. Monsignor Douglas Grams will celebrate the Mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:30 am until the time of services Saturday at the church. Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm is assisting the family.

Ralph is survived by a daughter, Joy Reinhart; two grandchildren, Chad Sicard and Kristal Sicard (Christopher) Hertel; four great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Charlotte Paa Savat.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances in 2005; his parents; and a daughter, Faith in 1994.

Ralph Charles Reinhart was born on June 7, 1924 in Cottonwood Township, Brown County, to Arthur & Martha (Wagner) Reinhart. He attended Holy Trinity and Searles schools, and graduated from New Ulm High School. After high school he farmed in Cottonwood Township. He was also employed at Kraft Foods for 27 years. Ralph married Frances M. Paa on April 21, 1945 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm.

Ralph enjoyed fishing, traveling, and woodworking. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and worked on the restoration of the Way of the Cross. Ralph was involved in RCIA and ushered at St. Mary’s.
