State Patrol

Received a single-vehicle accident report with non-life-threatening injuries on Highway 22 near Sibley CR 8. A 2000 Buick LeSabre driven by Ricardo Cantu, 47, Gaylord, was northbound on Highway 22, lost control, left the road and hit a sign. Cantu and a passenger, Angelica D. Cantu, 35, Gaylord, were transported to Sibley Medical Center, Arlington. No alcohol was detected and both wore seat belts. Vehicle damage was not reported. The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office, Gaylord Fire/Rescue and Ambulance assisted.

New Ulm Police

Received to a vandalism report at 8:56 a.m. Monday at 1415 5th St. North. A homeowner reported a BB gun hole in an outer front window pane that would cost more than $1,000 to fix. No other damage was found. It was unknown when the BB gun was fired at the residence.

Received a two-vehicle crash report at 12:56 p.m. Monday on the 600 block of 15th St. North. A 1995 Mercury Sable driven by Roberto Soliz, 59, New Ulm, was westbound on 15th North, when he collided with a 2001 Buick LeSabre driven by Steven Denn, 28, New Ulm, who was southbound in the Dairy Queen drive-through lane. Damage was moderate to both vehicles. Both drivers wore seat belts. Soliz had a possible neck injury. No ambulance was required.

A two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Center and Highland at 4:25 p.m. on Monday.

The collision involved a 2009 Chevrolet Traverse driven by Melissa Braulich of New Ulm and a 2007 Toyota Sienna driven by Theresa Beckman of Springfield. There were no injuries.

The Chevrolet sustained moderate to severe damage to its front. The Sienna sustained severe damage to its left front.
