Redwood County Sheriff’s Office

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash at 3:04 a.m. near the intersection of CSAH 24 and Noble Avenue, rural Redwood County. At the scene, officers located a 2016 Chevy Equinox driven by Cole James Reinarts, 30, Sleepy Eye, and 2018 Jeep Cherokee driven by Zaya Luu, 28, Redwood Falls, in a ditch on the south of of Highway 24. Both vehicles had moderate to severe disabling damage.

The Equinox was southbound on Noble Avenue when it collided with the Jeep. Chevy occupants were treated for minor injuries by medical personnel and released. Jeep occupants were transported by CentraCare Hospital, Redwood Falls, by CentraCare Ambulance non-life threatening injuries. Lower Sioux Tribal Police assisted.

New Ulm Police

• Took a stolen bicycle report at 6:10 p.m. Friday Saturday from a 23-year-old homeless man. The bicycle valued at $600, was reported stolen on Minnesota Street North and 17th St. North. A report was done for documentation.

• Took a report at 9:59 p.m. Saturday of a vehicle on the 100 block of Minnesota Street South was broken into. The vehicle owner said mail in the vehicle was opened. Surveillance video showed a suspect who has not been identified. A report was done for documentation.

• Took a report of Pollinator Park damage including profanity written on a picnic table at 11:43 a.m. Saturday. Damage was estimated at $100. A report went to the New Ulm Park & Recreation Dept.

• Took a call at 5:14 p.m. Saturday from a Minneapolis Children’s Hospital case worker who said a 15-year-old New Ulm girl was discharged but her mother refused to pick her up. A report went to Brown County Human Services.
