New Ulm Police

• Arrested a 49-year-old New Ulm man at 3:55 p.m. March 23 at the Brown County Probation Office on an apprehension and detention order for failing to abstain from mood-altering chemicals. The man was transported to the Brown County Jail.

• Were notified at 6:35 p.m. March 23 of an individual at Walmart with a Brown County felony warrant for failure to appear on a theft charge. A 30-year-old Spencer, Ia. man was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail.

• Were called to Riverbend Area Learning Center, 1315 S. Broadway at 8:08 a.m. March 24 to assist in searching two 17-year-old males. One of the teens, from New Ulm, turned over a strawberry-kiwi flavored Orion Bar 18 ML nicotine vape. He was cited for possession of tobacco products on school grounds. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

• Received a report at 12:21 p.m. March 24 of a possible harassment restraining order violation of two tenants at St. Michael’s Apartments, 500 State St. North. A 70-year-old New Ulm woman said another apartment complex resident, a 69-year-old New Ulm woman, is not permitted within 50 feet of her apartment and came in the community laundry room while she was doing laundry three times. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.
