Minnesota State Patrol

• Received a two-vehicle crash report with injuries at 6:17 p.m. Monday on TH 19 at North Redwood St., Winthrop. A 1996 Internal semi driven by Scott A. Sondag, 35, Winthrop, was parked on the TH 19 shoulder near N. Redwood St. Jerry G. Mortenson, 74, Maple Grove, was driving a 2014 Chevy Silverado eastbound on TH 19 when it struck an 8-year-old girl who was a semi passenger and had stepped onto the roadway. She was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Alcohol was not involved. Winthrop, Gibbon and Gaylord Police, Winthrop Ambulance, and the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office assisted.

New Ulm Police

• Received a report at 4:33 p.m. Monday of a suspicious, 36-year-old New Ulm man swinging a golf club, wearing a ripped jacket near South Payne and 8th South streets. The man refused help and services. Nobody was hurt, no damage reported. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.

• Received a theft report at Walmart at 5:15 p.m. Monday of two Dotcom trail cameras valued at $172 each. Suspects are a 32-year-old Sherburn woman and a 32-year-old Trimont man. Surveillance video and a report were sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for charges.

• A 37-year-old New Ulm man was arrested at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday at 613 6th St. N. for a domestic abuse no contact order violation. A report was sent to Brown County Probation.
