Brown County Sheriff’s Office

• Received a scam/fraud report at 1:13 p.m. Friday from a 30-year-old Essig man on Main St. who said he received a call and sent money in pre-paid gift cards to an unknown source. The amount of money sent was not reported yet. A report was done for documentation.

• Received a call at 12:07 p.m. Friday from a man on Summit Avenue, Hanska who said he did not receive a package about a month ago that was said to have been delivered. A report was done for documentation.

New Ulm Police

• Received a report of a stalled vehicle with three deflated tires and significant front end damage at Freedom Valu Center, 627 Minnesota St. N. at 7 a.m. Friday. A 73-year-old Plymouth man found in the vehicle appeared to be disoriented due to dementia. He told police he did not know how he got there. The man was transported to New Ulm Medical Center for mental and general health observation. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.

• Received a theft report at 3:39 p.m. Thursday of a front license plate taken from a vehicle overnight while parked on the 100 block of N. Broadway. A report was done for documentation.

• Arrested a 38-year-old New Ulm man at 6:38 p.m. Thursday on the 100 block of south Minnesota Street due to high alcohol level, a probation violation. The man was transported to the Brown County Evaluation Center, Detox Division. A report was sent to his probation agent.
