New Ulm Police

• Received a two-vehicle crash report without reported injuries at 1st North and Front Street at 9:57 a.m. Aug. 31. Kevin White, 57, New Ulm, was turning left from Front Street onto 1st North when he said a bee flew into the 2005 Ford Crown Victoria he was driving, and landed under his glasses. He swerved to the left and collided with Shaun Domeier who was driving a 1994 GMC Sierra pickup eastbound. White then collided with a legally parked 2003 Jeep Liberty. All three vehicles had light damage.

• Received a harassment report from a 34-year-old New Ulm woman at 2:38 p.m. Aug. 31 who said a 32-year-old Eagan woman sent harassing messages about her 16-year-old daughter on Facebook. The woman was told to get an Harassment Restraining Order against the suspect. A report was done for documentation.

• Responded to an attempted suicide report at 1:14 p.m. Aug. 31 at the New Ulm City Cemetery. A 67-year-old New Ulm man was found deceased. The name was not released pending family notification. A report will be done for documentation.

• Received an ambulance assist call for a 51-year-old New Ulm woman who fell at Hillside Manor Apartments, 1513 Payne St. N. at 12:23 p.m. Tuesday.

• Performed a welfare check near 11th St. N. and Garden St. at 7:15 p.m. regarding an 80-year-old Winthrop man who appeared confused and looking for his vehicle. Police drove him to Lafayette where Winthrop Police picked him up. A report was done for documentation.

• Responded to a welfare check request from an individual who said an eight-year-old girl walked into their residence near Washington St. S. and 16th St. S. at 5:53 p.m. Aug. 8. The girl’s mother later picked up the girl. Reports were done for documentation and Brown County Human Services.

• Responded to an harassment restraining order violation report at 10:54 p.m. Aug. 8 at 2526 Bridge St. S. from a 36-year-old New Ulm woman who said a 41-year-old New Ulm man was standing near her trash can. The man fled on foot. Reports were sent to the New Ulm City and Brown County Attorney’s Offices.

• Received an unemployment scam/fraud report from a resident on the 1600 block of Minnesota St. s. at 9:24 a.m. Aug. 9. The resident said they never filed for unemployment an filed a police report and checks their credit card and bank accounts and the Social Security Administration to file a fraud report. The individual said they did not lose anything.

• Took a theft report at 10:59 a.m. Aug. 9 of a 21-speed mountain bike valued at $300 stolen from Harman Park sometime in the past 18 days. The bike was gray with white lettering. A report was done for documentation.

Brown County Sheriff

• Received a crash report at 215th Street and 145th Avenue, Cottonwood Township at 11:11 p.m. Aug. 29. A vehicle driven by a 16-year-old New Ulm boy turned to avoid a deer and rolled. No injuries were reported.

• Received a break-in report at Rolloff Electric, 21029 TH 15, New Ulm, Cottonwood Township at 1:15 p.m. Aug. 27. A undetermined amount of copper was reported stolen. Value of the copper was not available. A report was sent to investigators.

• Arrested a Trey Eric, 25, Columbus, Tx. for DWI at Front St. s. and 4th St. S. at 1:34 a.m. Aug. 29. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

• Responded to a burglary alarm at the Hanska Municipal Liquor Store, 118 Broadway at 5:40 a.m. Aug. 27. An undetermined amount of cash was taken. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

• Responded to a crash at 7:54 p.m. Aug. 8 at 370th Ave. and CR 17, Bashaw Township, just west of Comfrey. A 2003 Jeep Granada driven by Clarissa Coronado, 20, San Antonio, Tx. rolled in the ditch. North Memorial Air Care and Springfield Ambulance were called. One person went to Sleepy Eye Medical Center by ground ambulance. The vehicle was demolished.

Sleepy Eye Police

• Took a theft report at 11:54 p.m. Monday of about $1,000 worth tools taken from a garage on the 600 block of Walnut St. S.W. The tools were last seen Aug. 29.

Springfield Police

• Responded to a disturbance at 329 Van Buren Ave. N. at 4:02 p.m. Monday. Two Springfield men, ages 45 and 48 got into a fight. The 48-year-old man was taken to New Ulm Medical Center for possible broken ribs, then the Brown County Jail for first-degree burglary and 5th-degree assault. The 45-year-old man had a broken nose and his residence door was kicked in. A damage estimate was not available. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

• Received a disturbance call at 9:04 p.m. Aug. 8 from the Microtel Inn & Suites, 502 E. Rock St. A man at the hotel was transported to the Brown County Evaluation Center Detox Division. A report was done for documentation.

State Patrol

• Responded to a one-vehicle crash on TH 60, near 470th Avenue, Delafield Township, Jackson County at 10:40 a.m. Aug. 8. A 2015 Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by Richard N. Beck, 74, New Ulm, was westbound on TH 60 when he collided with a deer. He was transported to a local hospital with believed non-life-threatening injuries. Assisting agencies were Windom Police, Fire and Ambulance, and Cottonwood and Jackson County Sheriff’s Offices.

Renville County Sheriff

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash at CR 1 and CR 4, about eight miles south of Danube, Henryville Township at 9:35 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 8. A 2004 Chevy Silverado driven by Nicholas Taylor, 18, Buffalo Lake, was westbound on CR 4 and failed to yield to a 2012 Ford Fusion driven by Stephanie Wersal, 24, Sanborn, was northbound on CR 1. Wersal was transported to an Olivia hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Assisting agencies included the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, Danube Police, Fire and Medical Response Unit, Olivia Ambulance and CentraCare Ambulance.

McLeod County Sheriff

• Responded to a one-vehicle crash at 12:45 a.m. Aug. 30 near CR 2 and 180th Street, south of Silver Lake involving a 1997 Nissan truck, owned by Jorge Noyola-Garcia, driven by Eric Sanchez, 32, Glencoe. Sanchez was arrested on a warrant and transported to the McLeod County Jail. Deputies cleared with reports.

• Noticed an abandoned vehicle near 110th St. and Major Ave. northeast of Brownton at 12:48 p.m. Aug. 30. The vehicle was towed.

• Responded to a missing person report on 90th Street north of Brownton at 10:03 p.m. Aug. 6. Brownton Police and the Minnesota State Patrol assisted. The individual was found. Deputies cleared with reports.

• Responded to a driving complaint near TH 7 and Zebra Ave. northeast of Lester Prairie at 9:56 p.m. Aug. 7. Jose Luna, 28, Little Canada was arrested for probable cause DWI, open bottle, and driving without a license. He was transported to the McLeod County Jail in Glencoe. Deputies cleared with reports.

• Responded to an assault report on 85th Ct., north of Brownton at 11:43 p.m. Aug. 7. Matthew Cooper, 36, Brownton, was arrested for probable cause domestic assault and transported to the McLeod County Jail in Glencoe. Deputies cleared with reports.
