Brown County Sheriff
• Took a theft report at 9:03 p.m. Aug. 24 of a tailgate taken from a residence on 150th Avenue, Cottonwood Township. A report was done for documentation.
New Ulm Police
• Responded to a welfare check request for a man who fell down on a sidewalk at 6th St. S. and Payne at 8:22 a.m. Tuesday and found a 58-year-old New Ulm man intoxicated. He was transported to the Brown County Evaluation Center, Detox Division. A report was done for documentation.
• A black and red Hyper bicycle was reported stolen at 4:38 p.m. Wednesday from the 900 block of Center Street. The bicycle is valued at $200.
• A vehicle was reported stolen at 7:34 p.m. Wednesday from the 1900 block of South Broadway. The vehicle was described as a 2013 black Dodge Dart.
State Patrol
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries on U.S. Highway 71 and CR 4, Henryville Township, Renville County at 6:08 p.m. Aug. 24. Toni Jo Starr Brothers, 23, Redwood Falls, was driving a 2003 GMC Savanna southbound on Highway 71 when she collided with David G. Lewis, 69, Brooklyn Center, who was eastbound on CR 4. Lewis wore a helmet but was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis, with life-threatening injuries. The Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Olivia fire and ambulance and North Memorial Aircare assisted.
