Brown County Sheriff
• Received a trespassing complaint at 7:34 a.m. Aug. 18 involving a 65-year-old rural Sleepy Eye man in a property line dispute at 19403 Riverview Rd., Leavenworth Township. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
• Received a report at 12:31 p.m. Aug. 18 of seven tires slashed overnight at a residence on CR 11, Milford Township. A report was done for documentation.
New Ulm Police
• Received a report of a DANCO (domestic abuse no contact order) violation at 4:17 p.m. Aug. 17 involving harassing text messages from a 29-year-old Bloomington man to a 21-year-old New Ulm woman. The suspect was not located. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
• Received a dog bite complaint at 2201 N. Broadway at 7:29 a.m. Aug. 18. A smaller loose dog on Hoffmann Rd. caused a minor bite. The dog’s vaccinations were up to date. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.
• Received a vandalism report at 9:03 a.m. Aug. 18 of 16 tires on four vehicles slashed overnight at 412 S. Broadway. The suspect is believed to be a former girlfriend. Damage was estimated at $4,000. A report was done for documentation.
Sibley County Sheriff
• Responded to a report of a diesel fuel spill on CR 12 between CR 13 and CR 9, west of Arlington at 9:51 p.m. Aug. 9. Deputies located several areas where large amounts of diesel fuel was spilled on asphalt on CR 12, CR 13, and a gravel township road. The Arlington Fire Department and Sibley County Highway Department responded to clean diesel off the roads.
It was later learned that a semi tractor and side dump trailer owned by Doehling Farms, Inc., rural Arlington, was hauling a leaking load that caused the spill. The semi tractor and side dump trailer was previously used on a different day to haul vehicles to the junk yard to be scrapped.
