New Ulm Police

• Responded to two-vehicle crash without injuries at 20th South and Valley St. at 10:49 a.m. April 9. A 2010 Ford Focus driven by Elizabeth H. Westphal, 28, New Ulm, was on 20th South, making a left turn onto Valley, said she didn’t see a 2019 Chevy Equinox driven by Dynelle M. Kruggel, 54, Belle Plaine, and collided in the intersection. Damage was moderate to both vehicles. The Chevy needed a tow.

• Called to a Disturbance at 1721 Boettger Road at 10:41 p.m. April 9. A 17-year-old New Ulm female was arrested for fourth-degree DUI. An 18-year-old New Ulm male and 17-year-old New Ulm female were reported to be involved in the incident that included possible underage consumption and open bottle charges. A report for charge consideration was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

• Called to a verbal domestic issue between a girl and guy at 418 17th St. S. at 5:18 p.m. April 9. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.

• Arrested a 26-year-old New Ulm man for 3rd-degree DWI at 15 Minnesota St. N. at 3:32 p.m. April 9. The suspect was involved in reports of a driving complaint and hit and run crash by the B&L Bar. He was taken to detox and is being held for court. A report for consideration of other charges including obstructing the legal process and fleeing a peace officer on foot was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

• Responded to a criminal damage to property report at the New Ulm Street Dept. office, 2020 N. Broadway at 11:46 a.m. April 9. A window valued at $500 was shot by a BB gun. A report was done for documentation.

• Responded to a custody dispute between an 18-year-old Clear Lake, Iowa female and an 18-year-old New Ulm male at 801 N. Valley at 1:23 p.m. April 11. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.
